Started in March 1993 it soon became one of the largest and most highly rated language schools in Vilnius. In half a year, it became an affiliated member of the International House World Organisation http://www.ihworld.com . In 1998 Soros International House became a member of Lithuanian Association of Adult Education as well as a Center of Foreign Language Teachers‘ Training, recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Lithuania. In February 2002 SIH became an official representative of the MBA Center and in September 2004 an official representative of City&Guilds.On February, 2005 Soros International House has been approved as  Instituto Cervantes examination center.
