SPEAKEASY Lifelong Learning Programme KA2 project

In November, 2011 SIH started implementation of the international project „Speakeasy“ together with partner-organisations from 5 European countries:
SPEAKEASY plans to address some of the challenges regarding the implementation and delivery of foreign language courses for migrants. The project will focus on developing stimulating interactive speaking strategies and methodologies how to motivate migrants to attend language courses. SPEAKEASY will provide „Language clubs“ like cooking club, breakfast club, drama club, book club, cafe club, etc., which are recreational and will involve learners in communicating the language in a variety of contexts and the diversity of activities will be based on learners needs, requests or skills. Target group: • migrants, especially women, who want to improve their language skills
SPEAKEASY 2nd meeting took place in Vilnius The second project partners meeting took place in Vilnius on 25-28 March 2012. The partners from Lithuania, Italy, Spain, Germany and Austria attended the meeting. During the meeting the partnership assessed the project progress, discussed the dissemination plan. The Needs Analysis and State of the Art Reports of each partner country and the summary on the results done by SIH were presented and discussed. Then the partners worked on the ideas and curriculum for language clubs, the ideas for intercultural training were introduced.

SPEAKEASY Kick off meeting, 6-8 November 2011, Stuttgart, Germany
The initial LLP KA2 project SPEAKEASY partner meeting took place in Stuttgart, Germany.
During the meeting the partners discussed the idea of the project, the aim and objectives, work packages and planned results, partners distributed roles and responsibilities among themselves, discussed activities of the first year of the project implementation.
SIH will be responsible for state of the art report and needs analysis (WP3).
The second partner meeting will be held in Vilnius in March 2012.
